Weight loss drugs help for diabetic patients

Hi friends, today i read a news about a weight loss drugs acomplia. It was suggested that a new diet drug acomplia may be helpful for diabetic patients. The results after study showed that acomplia rimonabant also improved the patient HbA1c, HDL- cholesterol, triglycerides, systolic blood pressure and waist circumference. This news may also beneficial for obese patients who also suffer from diabetes. The results states that 50% of the improvements in HbA1c and HDL-cholesterol levels were independent of the weight loss achieved, indicating a direct effect of acomplia rimonabant on these parameters.
